hotel, sweet hotel

Having lived in hotels for the overwhelming majority of the past eight months, I truly appreciate a nice place to stay. We have been using Priceline for the majority of our hotel booking during the week - due to the nature of Priceline's specified randomness, it is difficult to use for hotels during our events.

Tonight and tomorrow night, we will be staying at the luxurious, 4-star Hotel Palomar in Arlington. Of course, Priceline has also put us at numerous Days Inn's and a La Quinta next to a BYOB strip club. It's hit or miss - this time we hit the proverbial jackpot. Hotel Palomar distinctly reminds me of another Priceline coup...Hotel Indigo in Nashville, TN. I stayed there twice, once for the Country Music Marathon and once driving through for a few nights when Whitney came to visit. Both hotels are very modern and basically just cool. It's always fascinating to think how much other people in the hotel are paying for the same room. For instance, notice the car in the first picture? It's a Mercedes, slightly higher class than the Croc mobiles. Yes, this job certainly has some perks - remind me of that next time Days Inn comes calling.
